Ultimate East Texas Car Buying Guide Part 1

Buying a new car can be nerve-wracking. It’s a business transaction, but it involves your public image, your family’s safety and your financial comfort. Don’t just Google car dealership near me. First, there are some things you can do to lay the foundation for a smooth sale. Get your trade ready, gather information and form reasonable expectations so you go in with the tools you need to get a great deal. In this two part series we’ll tell you all that, plus insight from Velocity Mazda’s Camden Jones on what makes our dealership so unique.   Start Getting the Best Car Price Online  We always want you to stop by the dealership, but one way to do your homework ahead of time is to shop online. For some people, once they go to the dealership things start to get emotional. At Velocity Mazda, we don’t blame you. It’s hard to look at all those gleaming Mazdas and not fall hard and fast. Once you see the interior and experience that new car smell, once you sit down inside and find yourself wrapped in intuitive luxury, you’re a goner.   Knowledge is power. Velocity Mazda posts both our new and used inventory online so you can see exactly what’s on the lot. We include dozens of photos so you can see each car from every angle. Our dealership posts the Velocity Sales Price along with any special offers.   We also offer tools for valuing your trade, getting pre-approved for financing and calculating your payment. Even if you’re not ready to buy, take a minute to check out what we have on the lot right now. Then you’ll be ready to come see it in person.   Ask Car Buying Questions  If you still aren’t sure what you want or you don’t have time to stop by, email a dealership representative to ask your questions. This accomplishes a number of things. First, you stay in charge of the conversation. Find out what interest rates are available and any models that might have just arrived.   You also start getting to know a representative, and that relationship will help you when it becomes time to close the deal. We understand car salesmen in the past have used high pressure tactics and sometimes even deception. That’s not what we’re about, and we’re willing to work extra hard to prove it.   Know the Car Dealership Lingo  Car prices are referred to in a couple of different ways.
  • Sticker price – MSRP means the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. Dealers would love you to pay that amount, but they typically have some flexibility. It’s the one posted on the car and in advertisements.
  • Invoice price – This is about what the dealership paid for the vehicle. They have additional costs, so usually there’s no way they can sell it for this price.
  • True market value – The car is really worth this amount in Tyler, Texas. This is what you need to know. It’s usually somewhere between MSRP and invoice price.
Research Your Best Vehicle Options  If you have a trade, use tools like Kelley Blue Book to get a realistic idea of trade-in value. Research interest rates. Once you’ve looked at Velocity Mazda’s financing options online and talked to a representative, you might also see what your bank or credit union offers to make sure you’re getting the best deal.   Next week we’ll post part two of this series, where we give you tips on actually closing the deal, but you don’t have to wait. Start the conversation today when you contact Velocity Mazda for a trade evaluation and no-hassle information on current inventory.   Sources: https://www.kbb.com/whats-my-car-worth/hthttps://cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/tips-for-negotiating-at-a-car-dealershiphttps://www.edmunds.com/car-buying/pricing-basics-for-new-car-buying.htmlMissy Ticer for Velocity Mazda

Velocity Mazda-Backed Drivers achieve huge success at 2024 Mazda MX-5 Cup

Velocity Mazda-backed drivers achieved remarkable success at the conclusion of the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Cup, held at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta mid October. The Round 14 podium featured a dominant performance by McCumbee McAleer team, with Gresham Wagner (No. 5) securing first place overall, followed by Nate Cicero (No. 83) in second, and Jeremy Fletcher (No. 22) claiming third place.

Alongside the champion's trophy, Wagner is awarded a grand prize of $250,000 from Mazda. After winning his first MX-5 Cup Championship in 2021, Wagner becomes only the second driver in history to achieve two MX-5 Cup titles.
Fletcher dominated the race by leading the most laps and making no mistakes, ultimately winning the final race at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. However, he concludes the season in third place in the championship standings, which is still an impressive achievement for a young 17-year-old racer wrapping up his sophomore year in racing. Velocity Mazda is so proud to watch these drivers earn these achievements this year and excited to see what comes next for them!

Inside 2019 Mazda3, the interior is simple and elegant. The steering column has more room for adjustment, so it's easier to access for drivers of different heights. Tilting front seat cushions now come standard. Designers reduced the distance between the shifter and steering wheel to make driving safer and provide more room for cup holders. The cabin also has added insulation for reduced road noise and sumptuous new interior fabrics. The Active Driving Display has more user-friendly fonts, a digital owner's manual and an improved sound system.
